# Pricing | Oogway Labs

> Oogway Labs is a professional services firm. Engagements are priced against the phase you join at (**Audit**, **Build**, **Productionize**, **Monitor**), either as a monthly retainer or a fixed-scope project. Final pricing is always confirmed in a written proposal before work starts.

Engagements are scoped by the engineers who will build them. There is no hand-off from sales to delivery, and no SDR funnel between you and the people writing the code. The practice is 25+ engineers and scientists across six capability areas.

## Pricing models

- **Monthly retainer**: fixed monthly fee for a defined team allocation. Best when scope evolves across the build and the production work that follows it.
- **Project-scoped fixed fee**: fixed price for a bounded deliverable (an audit, a V1 production milestone, a cost-reduction engagement, a self-hosting deployment). Best when outcomes and timeline are clear up front.

## Phase 1: Audit

- **Duration:** 2 days - 1 week
- **Pricing:** Project-scoped fixed fee
- **Deliverables:**
  - Assessment across data, infrastructure, workflows, team capability and governance
  - A short list of AI bets ranked by ROI and effort, not maturity scorecards or generic frameworks
  - The first initiative scoped enough to start building
  - A roadmap you can defend to leadership, with timelines, budgets and expected outcomes
- **No obligation to continue into a build.** If the audit concludes AI is not the answer for the workflow, we say so, in writing, with the reasoning.

## Phase 2: Quick wins

- **Duration:** 1-3 weeks. **4 weeks to the first production milestone** is the figure we hold ourselves to; larger scopes are estimated after the audit.
- **Pricing:** Monthly retainer (common) or project-scoped fixed fee per milestone
- **Deliverables:**
  - The highest-leverage bet shipped to **production** for real users, not a demo
  - End-to-end vertical slices (frontend, backend, AI, infrastructure), so something real is live by week three or four
  - A hard line between what ships in v1 and what waits

## Phase 3: Productionize

- **Duration:** 2-4 weeks
- **Pricing:** Monthly retainer or a scoped fixed phase
- **Deliverables:**
  - Evals and regression gates, guardrails, fallbacks, traces and alerting
  - Cost controls: one gateway carrying every AI call, cost attributed per feature, budget alerts
  - Security and governance where the buyer's IT review requires it: tenant isolation, RBAC, audit trails, VAPT and AI red-teaming
  - **Ownership:** source code, infrastructure-as-code and deployment pipelines live in your accounts and repos from day one

## Phase 4: Monitor

- **Duration:** Ongoing
- **Pricing:** Monthly retainer, usually lighter than the build allocation
- **Deliverables:**
  - Regression evals on every policy or model change, with the accuracy number re-measured rather than assumed
  - Cost trend against the baseline, so a regression shows up in days rather than at the next invoice
  - Weekly review of failure cases, and the training and documentation that lets your team own day-to-day operations
- **After handoff:** you own the system. A defined handoff window (typically 30 days of post-handoff support) keeps stabilization from being a cliff.

## Advisory

- **Commitment:** 4-16 hours a week depending on stage
- **Pricing:** Monthly retainer
- **Shape:** strategy with leadership, oversight with engineering, plain-English readouts for the board. Direction first, delivery second.

## Typical engagement shape

- A full arc (audit → build → productionize → monitor) commonly lands in the **2-4 month** range depending on scope. Many clients start mid-stream; we meet you in the phase you are already in.
- Pricing is calibrated to what the audit surfaces. You do not need a long-term commitment before ROI and scope are clear.

## What is not offered

- Hourly billing on ambiguous scope
- Fixed per-seat SaaS licensing (we are a services firm, not a product company)
- Strategy-only decks with no build: shipping working software is the unit of delivery
